DS 3 Crossback E-Tense Ultra Prestige 2020 UK review</h2>
<div>
There is not enough rational advantage to match alternative styles and justify prices, but there is still room for this in the electric car market<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht5Qb1sjseJKdLMY42_SX32Qewd_cQzi91ZelWOBfIPxMM9snKBwLXAX2naWD5kQmGnIg2Onub8HXuZTZj30PWz4TfvWT7Ud1WO-duVZBQ57Ai_TW9Fgii6njSbzXiNo1pcvMdb-47Scs/s1600/car1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="596" data-original-width="900" height="211" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht5Qb1sjseJKdLMY42_SX32Qewd_cQzi91ZelWOBfIPxMM9snKBwLXAX2naWD5kQmGnIg2Onub8HXuZTZj30PWz4TfvWT7Ud1WO-duVZBQ57Ai_TW9Fgii6njSbzXiNo1pcvMdb-47Scs/s320/car1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<b>What is it?</b><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
While sister brands Peugeot and Vauxhall are aiming for smaller and cheaper electric supermini by introducing their first battery-powered models, DS Automobiles has relied on a compact crossover hatchback with its debutant EV. And, since it can also be considered a “stylish” or “designer” car, the new DS 3 Crossback E-Tense makes a surprisingly close competitor for cars with which it will inevitably be compared - Kia Soul EV and Hyundai Kona Electric.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
However, success in this niche will be higher (sorry for the terrible pun). Both Kia and Hyundai are available with larger batteries and better electric range, and for the same money as our DS top-level test car. Both Koreans accelerate faster and more powerful than the DS (provided that you drop the price from a cheaper version of Hyundai at a lower cost). And both offer better cab practicality. There is also a pseudo-internal competitor for this car in the form of the Peugeot e-2008, which has the same electric transmission and battery, but is noticeably cheaper and, at least according to our early tests, is also more practical.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1gDN5YrBnAzWFYmX92wYMXZfkzycMN4zSJ5s5bcEnMtLxuNs0OObpSyN3boAhj0KPcF0Lt28iGwBtov5VUgOjPu7_eS9biNRIe558-NlwHwns-m60TvvYSIw_DBd_ZaSHUONBXu40tdY/s1600/car3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="596" data-original-width="900" height="211" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1gDN5YrBnAzWFYmX92wYMXZfkzycMN4zSJ5s5bcEnMtLxuNs0OObpSyN3boAhj0KPcF0Lt28iGwBtov5VUgOjPu7_eS9biNRIe558-NlwHwns-m60TvvYSIw_DBd_ZaSHUONBXu40tdY/s320/car3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
All this does not seem to be the most favorable preliminary assessment, is it? DS Automobiles will argue that the practical qualities that we have already mentioned will not be so important for its clientele, which at least equally fusses in luxurious surroundings and stylish designs. And it's not as if this E-Tense was letting the electric side down with its 134-horsepower electric motor, claimed range of about 200 miles or acceleration of less than 9.0 from 0-62 mph - although it doesn't seem to break much. land too.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<b>What's it like?</b><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Curiously cramped DS rear seats can disappoint if you have growing children or young people to carry. I heard that people who choose small crossovers instead of hatchbacks usually do not use the rear seats. The boot volume is apparently much more important - and the 3 Crossback does an excellent job with a 350-liter boot with a variable-height floor. Nevertheless, when you can have a much more spacious four-seater in the same class and for the same money, this is hardly profitable.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The DS cabin has a rather material atmosphere. The spotted hide from artificial black basalt of our Ultra Prestige test machine looked pretty enough, albeit a bit like regular leather that needed to be treated with a damp cloth. As with this car, it is different; and if you like it, you like it.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The car also does not need automotive technology, provided that you can get its layout and ease of use. I must admit that I fought. 3 Crossback comes with a set of pretty chichi stylized switches on the center console for power windows, parking brake, child locks and driving modes. The problem is that they all look very similar and do not have such a clear label, so you will not always find the one you need on the first try. The infotainment console looks equally far-fetched and overly stylized, and even digital tools see little room for design prosperity to prevail over clarity and readability.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The car, at least, is quite easy to drive and generally pleasant. Performance seems reputable, and although it’s not quite in the league of some affordable electric vehicles, it remains strong enough to give the car a useful turn on the motorway and when overtaking on A-class roads.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You can select several driving modes (Sport provides the best response to the accelerator pedal), but only two modes of energy recovery on the back gas - “D” and “B”. Other EVs allow you to switch regeneration modes more broadly and smartly; and if the DS gives you more freedom in this regard, this could lead to a 50 kWh battery going a little further. As such, the electrical range is respectable, but not outstanding. Even on expressways, you rarely get less than 150 miles on a charge; and if you stay in the city and slow down when you are outside of urban areas, 180-190 seems possible.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVxmqo9WMvNB6x-uYS9s9qTJ5AjaVpyBBG0C2_aRuNgAoHORaaLWajwlWyJUIzJndiUlEZ3TrnYrwyDau7B2XcOJ3ohXX5PKD3Tn6d0zcff92v4K5b_WqNiSP255t8g3H6VyeneY8gqrI/s1600/car2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="596" data-original-width="900" height="211" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVxmqo9WMvNB6x-uYS9s9qTJ5AjaVpyBBG0C2_aRuNgAoHORaaLWajwlWyJUIzJndiUlEZ3TrnYrwyDau7B2XcOJ3ohXX5PKD3Tn6d0zcff92v4K5b_WqNiSP255t8g3H6VyeneY8gqrI/s320/car2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The specific tuning of the 3 Crossback chassis was clearly an attempt to provide flexible comfort with a minimal compromise in body control and control accuracy. On the roads of the UK this is not the biggest success. Although it is obvious that stiff anti-roll bars prevent the vehicle from rolling when cornering and maintain reasonable control accuracy, this high lateral stiffness makes poor body control impossible even on slightly uneven roads, which is allowed by this slightly long, slightly damped suspension. The ride also tends to knock on bumps in the middle angle and is quite noisy on rough surfaces.
</div>
<br />
<b>Should I buy one?
</b><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The DS-3 Crossback E-Tense is actually not the most practical little electric car, nor is it a car that smart shoppers will want, naturally. While car prices start at £ 5,000 lower than our test car, DS is unlikely to appeal for valuable reasons, given how its manufacturer is positioning itself; and even for £ 31,000 after your gift from HM Treasury it is not.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Based on this, this is a car that is somewhat painted in a corner; but this does not mean that it is completely without appeal. Although it can function better like a small luxury car, it drives well enough and has practicality and ease of use to satisfy many less demanding supermini and wider premium hatchback envelopes.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There are more genuinely innovative cars in the growing EV market and, in my book at least, there are also more striking and alternative-looking ones. As we’ve covered, there are also simply better cars to choose from. But if you simply like the cut of the 3 Crossback E-Tense's jib, and aren’t too worried about dealing with the particular restrictions of electric car ownership, you needn't check the urge to splurge here. The EV market is a growing one, and there's plenty of room for a bit of richness and variety within it yet.</div>

<h2>
Mercedes-Benz GLA 220D 2020</h2>
<h4>
<b>What is it?</b></h4>
this is the car that Mercedes-Benz GLA should have been all the time. The first-generation model, for budget reasons, was largely based on the Class A hatch - and it showed. This new one, however, was given greater technical freedom, and this is a much more convincing effort.<br />
<br />
<br />
In line with the industry trend, it is also shorter than the car it is replacing, although the width and height have increased, giving the second-generation GLA even more crossover proportions and a larger area than the BMW X2 or Audi Q2.<br />
<br />
Being impressed with the best of its kind GLA 250 gasoline, we got the 220d model, which is the most powerful of the two diesel models confirmed to date. It uses the 2.0-liter turbocharged OM654 engine found in many Mercedes cars, and its power is 188 hp. and 295 lb-ft is definitely not powerless by the class standard. It develops at 40 hp. and 56 lb-ft more than the same engine in the adjusted GLA 200d. However, it is not without competition: the more powerful models of the Audi Q2 2.0 TDI have the same power and torque levels - almost the same.<br />
<br />
This engine is paired with a new built-in eight-speed automatic transmission. To this, the lineup adds the newly developed 4Matic all-wheel-drive system with electromechanical (instead of hydraulic) operation, as well as with a more pronounced distribution of the drive on each axis. Up to 80% of the torque can be delivered to the front, and up to 70% - back. There is also a special off-road mode where the transmission is 50:50.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgawW3zQaWqM56g_-Wc68XHLYjmSg-RFdwHapuiH5wRfp1vc4uy-vtAgXMUH7texZW06f5Gx-rtBb-NGVNNWSGldwsvLEgCFtBXrsx8nnJiLqaoN4V4fZDg3jU1zJSU0zEYOqMKPWKmEmQ/s1600/mcedes2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="596" data-original-width="900" height="263" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgawW3zQaWqM56g_-Wc68XHLYjmSg-RFdwHapuiH5wRfp1vc4uy-vtAgXMUH7texZW06f5Gx-rtBb-NGVNNWSGldwsvLEgCFtBXrsx8nnJiLqaoN4V4fZDg3jU1zJSU0zEYOqMKPWKmEmQ/s400/mcedes2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<h4 style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>What does it look like?</b></h4>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
On the go, the GLA220d 4Matic has great flexibility and energy with torque, both in the city and on the open road. This is not particularly attractive, nor is it completely free of diesel chatter, but the latest incarnation of the Mercedes four-cylinder diesel engine offers great affordable work that, with a wide-ratio from the new gearbox, sees that it provides strong autonomous acceleration and excellent cruising qualities.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
The controls are also quite sophisticated, with a light but the accurate feel of the electromechanical steering and good body control with limited roll angles for this type of car. There is also a lot of power and traction. This experience is hardly appropriate with feedback, but there is general cohesion and a balanced sequence that make the GLA 220d easy and carefree to operate.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
The ride is also much better solved than with the original. The suspension has good cushioning, which is noticeable on all models of compact Mercedes cars these days. Nevertheless, it absorbs unpleasant intrusions well in combination with the optional adaptive damping control and 60-section tires mounted on our test car. Road noise is also well insulated from the passenger compartment. In this regard, the GLA is a quieter and more sophisticated car than before.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
The road character can be further modified using the dynamic selection function, which now offers a wider range of qualities. There is more comfort at one end of the scale and more flexibility at the other than the old GLA.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjb8XoUs_uRfNlsKAFXgygLYaAzZmGDcRVdGHjl571tu-MjSR0jlzWkf4gVNumYum97ujYsJizNgIWVRcmXwY999bh4Amv6x5rKvWsyA-pu1jOFzzktl0SkzbEr0j1o_FuridzN7Yd5L4/s1600/mcedes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="596" data-original-width="900" height="263" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjb8XoUs_uRfNlsKAFXgygLYaAzZmGDcRVdGHjl571tu-MjSR0jlzWkf4gVNumYum97ujYsJizNgIWVRcmXwY999bh4Amv6x5rKvWsyA-pu1jOFzzktl0SkzbEr0j1o_FuridzN7Yd5L4/s400/mcedes.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<h4>
<b>Should I buy one?</b></h4>
Ultimately, this is an attractive offer for owners with a level of practicality above the level of a Class A hatchback. The GLA 220d 4Matic is suitable for customers who intend to drive kilometers and are looking for extra safety when driving with an all-wheel drive.<br />
<br />
<br />
However, those who are more likely to find themselves in urban areas are likely to be better served by one of the three gasoline and two diesel models in the initial lineup, which have exclusively front-wheel drive. If this is not enough, there is also a hybrid and fully electric option.<br />

More power means the XB7, weighing 2655 kg, can accelerate to 0-62 mph in just 4.2 s and reach a maximum top speed of 180 mph electronically - both improvements over the X7 M50i.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Alpina also claims that its new car offers "unrivaled maneuverability" thanks to its rear-wheel steering system and individual suspension settings, including dual-axle air suspension, active roll stabilization, and returned damper settings. The XB7 also has reinforced torsion bars and a new bulkhead rack for increased stiffness in the corners.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
The air suspension system allows you to vary the ride height and camber settings in accordance with different driving scenarios. In Sport mode and at speeds above 100 mph, the ride height is reduced by 20 mm, while Sport + cleans the car by as much as 40 mm compared to the standard settings.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
The XB7 differs from the X7 in its new front splitter with larger air intakes than the standard, and a modified rear bumper with four outlets and a thin new diffuser. Alpina front and rear badges, blue Brembo brake calipers, and custom-made hubcaps on the central wheels complete the package.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

As standard, the XB7 is mounted on top of a 21-inch five-spoke alloy wheel, but an additional set of 23-inch forged alloy wheels is available in the Alpina-specific 20-spoke design, which can be additionally finished in anthracite gray. The wheels shave 12.7 kg of the weight of the SUV and are fitted with tires designed specifically for the Pirelli.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
The interior - which can be set in six- or seven-seater format - is largely identical to the standard X7, with the exception of subtle details such as the glass iDrive rotary controller, sports steering wheel and Alpina logos. The three-part panoramic sunroof, soft-closing doors, and Alcantara ceiling lining are equipped with standard equipment, although a number of additional improvements will be available, including an LED ceiling display that offers more than 15,000 light patterns.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Prices and specifications in the UK have not yet been disclosed, but the XB7 can be ordered in Germany now from € 155,000, which suggests that it will arrive at this amount by more than 140,000 pounds when it arrives here at the end of this year.</div>

Volvo believes that Google-based infotainment systems will make it easier for drivers in their country of origin to use voice control – because of how well the Google Assistant understands the Swedish accent. Anna ARASA Gaspar, who works in the Volvo app team, says that many voice control systems struggle with accent and language, which is complex, but " Google's algorithm is very well understood. <div class="" style="clear: both;">
Like the rs5 Audi Sport back coupe counterparts, the fourth-generation model has received some minor exterior changes to help distinguish it from the car it replaces. However, none of them are what You would describe as very important.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both;">
In the future, there is the front bumper is modified with the channel's new air and the intake of additional air along the front edge of the hood, above the redesigned single-frame grille. Corner lights also get a new chart in the movement, which gives light daytime running looks more technical than the previous one: instead of a strip light single, there are now six separate elements.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Changes to the rear are even more subtle, with new graphical rear lights similar to headlights, and bumper with the elements of the diffuser are revised.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
This is still a car-oriented destination with the posture of the corresponding muscles, which may be most suitable for 20-inch wheels and new 275/30-profile car tires of the test we use. They replace the standard tires 19-inch wheels and 265/35-profile.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Inside, the new Audi has the same interior as good as before. This is a driving environment that is not only high quality, but also offers a level of daily exercise are comparable to several competitors. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Despite the obvious similarities to the interior that have graced the RS4 since the introduction of the fourth-generation model in the year 2017, however, some changes to help increase the appeal by making the various functions more intuitive to work with.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Chief among them is touch-screen-a new high for the functions of infotainment. Such models Audi new-a new this, features of the system response of the MMI proprietary touch instead of a pre-tightened model controller, as well as a new attitude and control features of speech.</div>

<span style="font-size: large;">Manufacturer of Chinese EV BYD has improved its plan to enter the passenger car market of Europe and will be launching Tang EV600 SUV electric in Norway this year.</span><br />
<br />
The company, which sells bus electrified and intercity Bus in Europe, choose Norway as the first country to receive the Tang, based on the fact that it has a strong infrastructure and a high demand for EVs.<br />
<br />
The introduction of the SUV will be followed by the launch of the European electric commercial vehicle, including van panels, tractor yard, and two truck size.<br />
<br />
Tang, now in the second generation, available with five or seven seats, and the battery 82.8 kWh claimed to provide a distance of 373 miles on a cycle of the NDC - although this figure is likely to drop once the car is subjected to a test range of the WLTP.<br />
<br />
Equipped with an electric motor on each axle for the permanent all-wheel drive and have a joint output of 483 HP - 81bhp is from the Audi E-Tron. It is said to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.4 seconds and is capable of fast charging in just 30 minutes - although it is not yet clear whether the figures quoted are 80% or 100% charging.<br />
<br />
The price has not been confirmed, but the initial price of about 260,000 yuan (about 29.600 pounds) in China means that the Pliers are most likely to reduce Western competitors when it arrives in Europe.<br />
<br />
Isbrand Ho, manager of the European division of BYD, said: "Norway is the market the most advanced in Europe when it comes to the adoption of the extensive and use of electric vehicles, as well as have a network of charging comprehensive. We will evaluate how the market works, but in the long term, our goal is to expand the sales of passenger cars outside of Norway.<br />
<br />
"We are very excited to expand our portfolio with the addition of a vehicle a new pure electric. This is another milestone in our commitment to protect the environment by helping to reduce emissions and clean the air in Europe.<br />
<br />
"During the test marketing, we believe that the area of the BYD Tang, design, practicality, and high technology will attract European customers.”<br />
<br />
Pliers will not be BYD's first car available in Europe. In 2013, a fleet of 50 BYD e6 electric Hatchback was imported into the Uk for use by rental companies private. The model is also selected by the authorities of Brussels to use as a taxi in Belgium's capital.Sardihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12037230291944015552noreply@blogger.com1
